Introduction
OpenClaw Academy ("we", "us", "our") is a community education project that provides free training resources for OpenClaw users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
OpenClaw Academy is a community project and is not officially affiliated with OpenClaw.
What Information We Collect
Email Addresses
If you subscribe to our mailing list, we collect your email address. This is the only personal information we actively request from you.
Analytics Data (With Your Consent)
If you consent to analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics (measurement ID: G-K0TPL6HZQG) to collect anonymised usage data including:
- Pages visited and time spent
- Referring website
- General geographic region (country/city level)
- Browser type and device category
Google Analytics is only loaded after you give explicit consent via our cookie banner. If you reject analytics cookies, no tracking scripts are loaded and no cookies are set.
Automatically Collected Information
Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may collect standard server logs including IP addresses, request timestamps, and user agent strings as part of normal web server operations. This data is controlled by Cloudflare under their own privacy policy.
Why We Collect Your Information
We collect personal information for the following purposes:
- Email addresses: To send notifications about new course launches and important updates. We will not send unsolicited marketing or share your email with third parties.
- Analytics data: To understand how visitors use our site so we can improve our content and user experience.
How We Store Your Data
Email addresses submitted through our subscribe form are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. Cloudflare D1 is a serverless SQL database that stores data across Cloudflare's global network.
Analytics data is processed and stored by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties for marketing purposes.

We use cookies only when you have given explicit consent:

Your Rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of any personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information (including unsubscribing from our mailing list).
If you are located in the EU/EEA, you also have rights under the GDPR including the right to data portability, the right to restrict processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Data Retention
We retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to our mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time by contacting us. Upon unsubscription, your email address will be deleted within 30 days.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Cloudflare: Website hosting and data storage (Cloudflare Pages, D1 database)
- Google Analytics: Website analytics (only with your consent)
Each of these services has their own privacy policies governing how they handle data.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
